1.5.0 — 2025-06-23
This release reworks the picking process around work orders, introduces the Main Menu as the central entry point, and expands permission management.
New
- Work-order processes: The picking process was fully reworked for performance, flexibility, and usability. Work orders support Picking, Placing, and Relocating (picking and placing combined) as processes. See Pick a work order and Place items and containers.
- Main Menu: The central page where users start and reach every feature their license and permissions allow. It opens as Home, its title changes to the feature in use, and the three-dots menu in the top bar returns you to it at any time. See Navigating oneGRID.
- Inbound/Outbound: A dedicated workspace for inbound and outbound tasks — identify a container by entering or scanning its ID, and recycle containers so they are ready for a new work order. See Identify a container and Recycle containers.
- Lot tracking: When oneGRID is integrated with an external system via API, pickers are guided to select the correct lot during picking. Enable it under Management > General Settings. See General settings.
- Containers on work orders: Containers can be assigned to work orders during the single order process — several containers per work order — enabling paperless order processing. Container tracking is enabled in the general settings.
Improved
- User permissions: Only the permissions relevant to the enabled license are shown. In Administration > Users > Edit User Settings, administrators manage each user's access granularly, assign one of the predefined permission sets, or customize individual permissions. See Manage users and Permissions and presets.
- Rack configuration: LED strips and sensor buttons can now be assembled on both the front and the back side of the same rack. See Storages and racks.
- Inventory Management: Search through storage locations, and place or detach items and containers. See Check and adjust stock.
- Multi-order picking: Several UX improvements on the multi-order picking pages. See Pick with a PickCart.
- User interface: Icons throughout most of the application were reviewed and refined, and the German translation of the app was improved.
Deprecated
- The previous single order picking, single item picking, and Put Wall sorting processes are deprecated.
Action required
- Verify permissions: In Administration > Users > Edit user settings, confirm that every user has the intended permissions; enable missing ones and save. See Manage users.
- Review the new settings: Check the system-wide settings under Management > General settings, and verify per storage that Always navigate to designated location is enabled if operators should always be guided to the designated location during picking. See General settings and Storage settings.
- Inform your users: Instruct users about the new features relevant to them.
