Release notes 2026

All oneGRID Cloud releases of 2026, newest first. See Release notes for the versioning policy.

1.7.1 — 2026-07-29

A maintenance release that fixes scanning work order codes when the orders come from a connected system.

Fixed

  • Work order scanning: Scanning a work order code to start a single order, or to attach an order to a PickCart, no longer fails when the orders come from a connected ERP or WMS system — the storage you are working in is now sent along with the lookup. If your account has no Assigned storage, oneGRID now asks you to assign one instead of letting the scan fail. See Pick a work order, Pick with a PickCart, and Manage users.

1.7.0 — 2026-07-27

This release adds Manual Sorting for shelving storages, reusable work order templates, and lot-number scanning during picking and placing, and redesigns the scanning-policy screen.

New

  • Manual Sorting: A new put-to-light sorting process for shelving storages. Operators scan an item and place it into the indicated location, with dedicated flows to unload items from the storage and to clear it in one step; the fill status is shown and the running process appears among the user's ongoing processes. Requires the Manual Sorting license feature and the Manual Sorting permission. See Sort items with Manual Sorting.
  • Work order templates: Create reusable templates for work orders and manage them under Management > Work order templates — add, edit, delete, and import templates from a CSV or JSON file, with a report listing any entries that could not be imported. Operators start a single order or attach a cart order directly from a template. See Manage work order templates.
  • Lot number scanning: Lot numbers can be scanned during picking and placing. See Pick a work order and Place items and containers.
  • Create item while placing: When a scanned item does not exist yet, it can be confirmed and created without leaving the placing process. See Place items and containers.
  • Unload by scanning: A new scanning confirmation policy for unloading on shelving storages. See Storage settings.

Improved

  • Work order list: The list can be filtered between work orders and work order templates, and a work order type that has only templates can still be selected. See Manage work order templates.
  • Scanning confirmation policies: The policy screen was redesigned — each policy (location, container, item, UI button) is now a single-click button with a shared legend and inline recommendations, replacing the previous drop-down menus. See Storage settings.
  • Put Wall: The process view reflects order changes in real time, highlights the last confirmed work order, and shows additional information when a work order is confirmed. See Sort items on the Put Wall.
  • Put Wall: Processable work orders are prioritized when a process starts. See Sort items on the Put Wall.
  • Placement import: Large placement files can be imported without the app becoming unresponsive. See Storage settings.
  • Item import: Duplicate item entries are reported so they can be corrected before importing. See Manage items.
  • Interface wording: Interface texts were reviewed — contractions were expanded and duplicated translations removed for clearer, more consistent wording.

Fixed

  • Put Wall: The "out of colors" dialog is shown again when it applies, overlapping updates after cancelling a work order and an inconsistent progress counter were resolved, paused processes are no longer counted toward the license limit, and clearing placements on a shelf or rack now removes leftover containers and refreshes the view. See Sort items on the Put Wall.
  • PickCart: Containers appear correctly after attaching or relocating them, a crash when opening the cart locations visualization was fixed, the Reset sequence button is disabled when it would have no effect, the order list refreshes when attaching, and missing permission messages are now shown in the cart process. See Pick with a PickCart.
  • Picking: Fixed the single-item picking view on mobile devices, the scan-box placeholder text, and negative picking confirmation amounts. See Pick a single item.
  • Storage locations: Fixed updating flat storage locations. See Storages and racks.
  • Item import: Fixed importing items from a file. See Manage items.
  • Devices: Device handling now recovers after a lost connection. See Monitor devices.

1.6.0 — 2026-03-20

This release reworks location handling in storages, adds storage duplication, and delivers a completely refactored Put Wall.

New

  • Customizable location modes: Location modes were fully reworked and extended to match real warehouse scenarios. The new Location modes tab under Management lets you define modes through selectable rules — such as multiple placements, amount tracking behavior, multiple lot numbers, and placement of tracked containers — and assign them to locations. See Location and container types.
  • Storage duplication: An entire storage — or selected racks — can be duplicated including all associated settings via Duplicate in the three-dots menu. This greatly reduces configuration effort when several storages share the same structure. See Storages and racks.
  • Put Wall rework: The Put Wall sorting process was completely refactored and extended: a Start/Continue button, multi-user sorting, cancelling a work order in progress, relocating a work order from the wall into a container when sorting ends, configurable colors for the putting and unloading phases, a Skip function during unloading, and an error color when unloading cancelled work orders. See Sort items on the Put Wall and Storage settings.

Improved

  • oneGRID API: Containers can be detached from work orders via the API, and a new endpoint exposes the Put Wall status to external systems.
  • Confirmation policy: The confirmation settings were extended — confirming with an on-screen button is now available. See Storage settings.
  • Data import: CSV and JSON imports handle large files reliably and give clearer feedback when data is inconsistent. See Import work orders and Manage items.
  • User interface: Inconsistencies across dialog windows were cleaned up.

Fixed

  • Scanning amounts: The first digit is no longer cut off when scanning amounts.
  • Placement imports: Importing placements from a CSV file now shows its progress, and reimporting placements no longer fails.
  • Carts: Placing a container on a cart no longer ends in an error.
