Import work orders
This workflow shows you how to import work orders from a file. Use it when orders are prepared outside of oneGRID and no direct interface to your ERP or warehouse management system is in place.
Role: Administrator
Prerequisites
- Your account has the Work Orders And Items permission.
- The items referenced in the file exist in oneGRID — see Manage items.
Steps
- Open Management > Work orders.
- To get the expected file structure, download a template first: click the save icon and choose CSV or JSON.
- Fill the template with your orders and save the file.
- Click Upload Orders .json/.csv and select the file. An import dialog shows the progress.
- Wait until the import finishes. The imported work orders appear in the list with status New.
Result
The work orders from the file are created and can be processed by operators.

Work orders coming from a connected external system appear automatically on the External tab of the Work orders page with origin Interface. They are read-only in oneGRID.
